Tour groups, exhibits, paintings, sculptures … The museum is teeming with common and proper nouns, everywhere you look! Person, Place, and Thing make sure readers not only discover factual grammar basics inside, but also lots of fun, laughter, and adventure.

Grammar is an essential element in learning English. However, grammar learning is boring sometimes. As an English teacher, I tried a lot of ways to motivate my students on grammar learning. I find reading books is an interesting way to introduce grammar rules. Fortunately, I find Word Adventures, the bubbly language-arts series. Nouns Say “What’s That?” is one of this series. It’s about the museum adventure of three monsters— Person, Place, and Thing. A wide range of common and proper nouns in the museum are introduced to readers. At the end of this book, notes on nouns are summarized. The illustration matches perfectly with the text. These nouns in this book are closely connected with the children’s daily life. Following Person, Place, and Thing, readers can get basic grammar rules about nouns and enjoy the joyful museum adventure. If you plan to introduce grammar rules to your younger readers, I think you can start with this one.
